I was really surprised when I found out just how many wedding supplies I needed for my ceremony and reception. Now I know why the girls at work told me to start wedding shopping asap. I think Valentine’s day is the best day for a wedding. We both wanted a Valentines day wedding. After I took care of everything the wedding party needed, it was time to consider ceremony decorations. Since this was a valentines day wedding, there were lots of gorgeous red roses, ribbons and big velvet bows on each row of pews. I also had lots of candles around the altar, including our love themed unity candle. The church allowed me to have red and pink rose petals tossed down the aisle by our flower girl. You have to have permission from churches now to follow that tradition, because many of them would rather you not throw things like petals on the aisles, thankfully, that wasn’t the case with our church. Everything went off without a hitch and the decorations were as perfect as our wedding ceremony.

Even though I did quite a bit of shopping for our wedding ceremony, there was even more to do for our reception. Our supplies for the reception started with love theme decorations with a love theme and ended with in love favors. There were bouquets of red roses placed everywhere and little red hearts hung from above. In front of the band was red and white balloons in the shape of a large heart, right on the dance floor.

There were tealights and candles to light up our beautifully set bridal table and lovley beach themed flutes for the wedding toast. All the supplies and accessories for our wedding reception was decorated in an oceanside motif, and so was our cake topper. A man and woman taking a casual walk on the shore was the wedding cake topper I chose for our reception. With all the items and bridal accessories they had available, it was easy to make this wedding and reception a total success. We danced, ate tons of seafood, like shrimp, crab, lobster and of course we had other foods for those that didn’t like seafood. We all had a wonderful time enjoying good food and good music to dance too. It was a little sad when we had to leave for our honeymoon and everyone was still partying it up.

The first thing I had to do when we came home from our honeymoon was get out my wedding guest book I bought online and make out all the thank you notes for the people that shared our wedding day with us. My beach themed picture album has all the memories within its beautiful covers for me to enjoy anytime I want to look back on our special beach wedding and reception.
